US general visits Europe

Lieutenant-General Mark Hertling, Commander of the US Army Europe, has visited Armenia, Armenia Today reports.

The US general met Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Oganyan, General-Colonel Yuri Khachaturov commanding the General Staff. They discussed the peacekeeping forces in Kosovo, sergeant training, involvement of Armenian peacekeepers in international military drills organized by US forces in Europe.

Hertling visited the Military Institute of V. Sargsyan, observed training of the Air Forces and a demonstration of Armenian peacekeeping efforts abroad.
