Turkey to develop military version of unmanned Anka
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Turkish government has decided to develop a military version of the Anka unmanned reconnaissance aircraft, Armenia Today reports, citing Jane’s weekly. The company Turkish Aerospace Industries will deal with development of the aircraft.
According to Jane’s, Turkey decided to develop its own unmanned military aircraft after the US Congress decided not to sell four unmanned MQ-1 Predator and two MQ-9 Reaper aircraft. Turkey plans to use unmanned reconnaissance aircraft in parts of the southeast of the country that remain under control of the Kurdish Labour Party.
