Patriarch Kirill arrived in Armenia

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Kirill arrived with a three-day visit to Armenia, where he will meet with the public authorities of Armenia, countrymen, teachers and students of the Yerevan State University, and will underbuild a new Russian Orthodox churches, RIA Novosti reported.

In Zvartnots airport in Erevan, the Russian Orthodox Church primate was met by the Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II, 12 bishops of the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia National Assembly, and the ambassadors of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania.

Right from the airport Patriarch Kirill goes to Echmiadzin. In the evening the ROC delegation will attend a concert at the House of Youth "Echmiadzin".

In the Throne Room in the residence of the Armenian Apostolic Church will be the signing of a cooperation agreement between the cities of Sergiev Posad and Echmiadzin - spiritual centers, respectively, Russia and Armenia.
