TRACECA implements roll-on/roll-off technologies

The TRACECA transport project of the EU may implement the roll-on/roll-off system and the Silk Wind system consisting of longer trains, 1news.az reports.

Kazakhstan is holding a regional session organized with LOGMOS at the port of Aktau on July 24-25. Attendees of the meeting will discuss ground and naval freighting, logistics and world standards.

Silk Wind and roll-on/roll-off systems in the Caspian Sea are a natural requirement for global freighting networks and will boost formation of sustainable economic corridors between Asia and Europe.

The TRACECA project has a secretariat in Baku. It is an international cooperation program for transport of the EU and Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Cooperation areas include car traffic, railway transport, aviation, security and transport infrastructure.
