Iran's House of Artists is planning to hold commemoration ceremonies to honor the memory of two veteran artists in the capital city of Tehran, Press TV reports.

The events will pay tribute to veteran modern painter Mansoureh Hosseini, and Iranian artist and master of teahouse painting Mohammad Farahani.

Iranian art lovers can attend the ceremonies on August 2 and 9, 2012, respectively.

Hosseini displayed her works in many solo and group exhibitions in Iran, Italy and the Czech Republic. She has also won numerous awards at Venice Biennial and the Rome Quadriennale.

She passed away in late June 2012, at the age of 86.

Mohammad Farahani practiced teahouse painting with master artist Hossein Ghollar Aghasi for fourteen years and created many great works during his artistic career.

His paintings are housed at a number of Iranian museums and art centers such as Tehran’s Reza Abbasi Museum.
