Russia may ratify mutual aid deal of Customs Union
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Russian government plans to consider presentation of the deal on cooperation and mutual aid in customs affairs of members of the Customs Union for ratification by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, RIA Novosti reports.
Realization of the deal would help the customs service of the states to cooperate. The sides that signed the document would be able to open offices of customs services at other states.
The Eurasian Economic Commission was formed for supervision of integration of the Customs Union and Single Economic Space. It was launched by Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan on January 1, 2012. The three states formed signed documents forming the commission on November 18, 2011. It will eventually replace the commission of the Customs Union which was planned to be closed on July 1, 2012.
