Cossack police to be introduced in South Russia soon

A Cossack police force will be introduced in the Russian Krasnodar region this autumn, RIA Novosti reports.

The decision was made by Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachyov. He said he appreciated the Cossacks' help during severe flooding this month.
