Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia to deepen bilateral relations

The President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan, Turks bin Khalid bin Faisal Al-Hashra, Trend reports citing a statement released by the Turkmen government.

"Cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was originally built on the principles of equality, mutual respect and trust. It has ample opportunities for diversification of business contacts" - the Turkmen leader said and reaffirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to further enhance mutually beneficial bilateral relations. In his opinion, the interstate dialogue is constructive and is developing according to the best traditions of friendship and fruitful cooperation.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the status and prospects of cooperation.

The two countries are exploring partnership opportunities in the areas of fuel and energy complex, production of cement and other building materials, as well as in agriculture, animal husbandry, cultivation of grain and forage crops.
