Syrian consul in Armenia joins opposition

The Syrian consul in Armenia, Muhammad Hosan, has joined the opposition and left the government of President Bashar al-Assad, Armenia Today reports.

The consul was inspired by the example of Syrian diplomats in Belarus, Cyprus, UAE and Iraq.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry has not received a note from the Syrian consulate yet, the press secretary of the ministry Tigran Balayan said.
