One militant killed during shootout in Dagestan

A suspected militant has been killed during clashes near the village of
Mitagi-Kazmalyar in Dagestan, the Interior Ministry of the North Caucasus
Federal District reported on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.

The law-enforcement officers found a shelter in the woods occupied by two armed bandits. The two men opened fire on the police officers. The police officers managed to kill one of the attackers, another one escaped.

None of the police officers was injured.
