Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and France discuss prospects for relations between their countries

Today, during his official visit to France, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Elmar Mammadyarov, met with his French counterpart, Laurent Fabius, Trend reports referring to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The sides have discussed prospects for further expansion of relations between Azerbaijan and France, as well as international and regional issues.


During the meeting, Mammadyarov stressed that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and has invited his French colleague to visit Azerbaijan.
Fabius has expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic, energy and humanitarian spheres, and underlined the fact that Azerbaijan is an important economic partner of France.

The parties discussed the progress of the negotiation process on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
