Russia says Syria in state of emergency

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has put Syria on the list of countries in a state of emergency, RIA Novosti reports.

A related decree was signed on July 26 to keep Russian diplomats safe. The document was posted at the federal bank of legal acts.
