Suspected murderer of little girl detained in Pyatigorsk

The police have detained a man with a criminal record suspected of murdering 9-year old Anya Prokopenko, RIA Novosti reports on Wednesday.

The 40-year old man had a record of grave crimes before. The police have evidence of his involvement in the girl’s death.

Anya Prokopenko was found raped and killed at Mt. Mashuk in Pyatigorsk on July 25. The man may be sentenced for life. The suspect was released from prison a month ago.
