Armenia has achieved progress in improving security on its borders, according to a report by the US Department of State, NEWS.am reports.

In general, the government of Armenia cooperated closely with NATO and other partners for establishing a round-the-clock situation center under the Emergency Ministry. The center is meant to provide effective inter-departmental coordination in the sphere of crisis management, including reaction to terrorist attacks.

The report on Armenia covers knowledge in the sphere of border security, for example, at border check points with Georgia.

It also states that Armenia is a member of the Anti-Money-Laundering Committee of Experts under the Council of Europe. “Armenia is not a regional center of financing. No cases of terrorist financing have been found there,” the report states.
