Ganja car factory to start joint manufacturing with Belarus

The car factory in Ganja (Azerbaijan) and AMKODOR (Belarus) have signed a memorandum on joint production of road construction, communal services, snow-clearing, aerodrome, timber, agricultural and other equipment, Trend reports.

The document was signed by Kyamran Nazarov, Director General of the car factory, Nikolai Kosten, a plenipotentiary representative of AMKODOR and the Director of Dormash.

A contract will soon be signed to produce the equipment. All the service centers of the car factory will provide services in Azerbaijan.

A contract on assembling and selling trucks and tractors produced by the Minsk car and tractor factories was signed between Azerbaijan in Minsk in late November 2006.

The Ganja car factory produces up to 1000 trucks and 2000 tractors annually. It assembles the “Belarus” tractor and MAZ cars.

AMKODOR produces over 80 models of vehicles. Udarnik, Dormash, Dormashmet, 11 subsidiary facilities and two unitary enterprises are part of the holding. Its production grew by 132.5% in 2011.
