Four Russian climbers were caught in a rockfall at an altitude of 3.6 km while climbing Mount Tenuldi in Georgia, ITAR-TASS reported with reference to the local rescue services.

The climbers were able to get in touch with their friends by phone, who contacted the rescue service. At the moment their mobile phones are not working. One of the climbers broke his leg.

Georgian TV "Rustavi-2" reported that only the approximate location of the climbers is currently known. The search team includes 300 people, but helicopters cannot be involved because of the fog.

On Saturday, two Polish and one Austrian mountain climber were rescued from Mount Ushba, located about 20 km from Tetnuldi.
