Murderer of Deputy Mufti of Karachay-Cherkessia gets 19 years in prison

30-year old Salavan Ganjayev from Karachay-Cherkessia has been sentenced to 19 years of strict regime correctional colony for the murder of Ismail Bostanov, Deputy Mufti of the Muslim Administration of Karachay-Cherkessia and Stavropol Territory, Yuga.ru reports.

Bostanov was killed in his car in Cherkessk on September 20, 2009, during Uraza-Bayram (Eid al-Fitr) His son, who was driving the car, was injured.

Ramazan Berdiyev, Yaulan Temirov, Makhar Bayramukov, Tokhtar Bayramukov, Dakhir Gerbekov and Stanislav Petrik got 5-8 years in prison at strict regime colonies. Rashid Blimgotov was fined 100,000 rubles for the concealment of the crime.
