Body of Russian climber in Georgia found

Georgian rescuers have found the body of the Russian hiker climbing Mt. Ushba in the Svaneti Region and taken it to the district center of Mestia, local administration head Ilia Japaridze said today, Trend reports.

A group of three Russian climbers was climbing the mountain. One of the hikers fell from a height of 3,700 meters. The accident was reported on Saturday, searches started on Sunday.

A soloing climber from Armenia requested help on August 9. He is stuck at a height of 4,500 meters. Georgian rescuers dropped off at a height of 4,700 meters and will descend to the Armenian climber.
