Suspect in Putin murder plot refuses to testify

Representatives of Adam Osmayev, suspected plotter to murder Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov caught with Ilia Pyanzin in Odessa in January 2011, said that all his answers had been given under pressure, Izvestia reports.

Valery Kochetov, President of the Odessa Law Academy, protecting the wife of Osmayev, said that the suspect was tortured.

According to investigators, 28-year old Ilia Pyanzin and 26-year old Ruslan Madayev arrived in Odessa from the Arab Emirates in December 2011. They were instructed by Doku Umarov, a Chechen terrorist leader, to organize terrorist attacks in Ukraine and Chechnya. They were under leadership of Adam Osmayev, a suspect of an attempt to murder Kadyrov in 2007.
