Non-petroleum sector boosts Azerbaijani economy

The GDP of Azerbaijan totaled $38.5 billion in January-July 2012, exceeding the indicator of the same period in 2011 by 1.6% or $595.6 million, APA reports.

The non-petroleum sector had a share of 10.5% in the GDP of Azerbaijan. The petroleum sector dropped by 6%.

67.4% of the GDP in January-July was generated by industrial goods, 26.5% by services, 6.1% by taxes for products and imports. The GDP per capita increased by 0.2% to $4280.9.

Azerbaijan expects the GDP to grow by 4.6% in 2012 exceeding $6000 per capita.
