Russian Foreign Ministry to help MTS in Uzbekistan

Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov have discussed bilateral cooperation and interaction of Mobile Telesystems and Uzdunrobit, Trend reports.

Lavrov requested Abdulaziz to assist in resolving problems that occurred with the subsidiary of MTS in Uzbekistan (Uzdunrobit). The company and its branches lost licenses on Monday. UZASI accused the company’s branches of operating without license.

The company evaded paying about $210 million, while its branches earned $161 million. Uzdunrobit has 10 days to appeal the court’s decision.
