BLACKSEAFOR leaves Trabzon

Bovocherkassk, a large amphibious assault ship of the Black Sea Fleet and part of BLACKSEAFOR, has left Port Trabzon after 3 days of stationing, spokesman of the Black Sea Fleet Captain I rank Vyacheslav Trukhachyov said, ITAR-TASS reports.

The ship took part in sea mine operations. Bulgarian, Romanian, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian sailors started the 11th day of activation. They will control movement of trade ships under Turkish supervision. There will be 15 training episodes.

Training will end on August 20, ships will return to Novorossiysk.

BLACKSEAFOR is an international fleet established in Istanbul on April 2, 2001. It includes warships of Bulgaria, Georgia, Russia, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine. Its goal is to improve cooperation of Black Sea states.
