Russian embassy attacked in London
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA large group of unidentified assailants attacked the consulate section of the Russian Embassy in London on the night of August 16-17. No one was injured, although rocks were thrown at windows, RBC reports.
The embassy emphasizes that London police did nothing to stop or detain the assailants. The Russian embassy was attacked earlier this year.
Nonetheless, the embassy started receiving visitors at 12 pm on August 17.
A similar incident happened in Tripoli (Libya) in February 2012. A group of Syrians attacked the Russian embassy there. They lifted a flag of the Syrian opposition over the embassy’s residence. Crowds were shouting anti-Russian slogans, because Moscow and Beijing blocked a UNSC resolution on Syria.
