Presidential archive to be created in Turkmenistan
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaPresident of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has signed a decree 'On creation of an archive of the President of Turkmenistan' by appointing Maya Mollaeva as its chairman, Trend reports with reference to the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.
The new agency is being created 'in order to further improve the archival work, as well as collection, recording, use and storage of documents covering all areas of the state and the socio-political activities of the President of Turkmenistan'.
The new archive is entrusted to develop proposals on the structure, staffing and a draft of regulation on the archive within one month.
The issue was discussed at a working meeting in Ashgabat, where the report on the main archival administration under the Cabinet of Ministers was presented.
As noted during the period of archival institutions in the country, comprehensive work was carried out on the preservation, accounting and use of documents of the National Archival Fund of Turkmenistan. Extensive work is being done for the scientific and technical document processing of departmental archives and their deposit in the state archives.
