Oil spill in Batumi

An oil spill happened at the Bartskhana Village of Batumi, Trend reports.

Oil was stopped from entering the river, head of the ecological service of Batumi Oleg Bolkvadze said.

The old refinery in the area has many pipes with oil leftovers inside. They need to be dug up and removed, which is a costly affairs, Bolkvadze said.
