Russia to pass harsher migration laws

Bills introduced to the parliament will make migration regulations harsher, Deputy Chief of the Directorate of the Russian Federal Migration Service of the Sverdlovsk Region, Yuri Bezborodov, said on Wednesday, Interfax reports.
The ban on visits of deported foreigners will be raised from 5 to 10 years. Foreigners violating the ban may be sentenced to 5 years of prison. Organizers of illegal migration may get 10 years of conviction.
Foreigners with criminal history of record will be banned from visiting the country.
