Israel demands Egypt to follow Camp David Peace Accords

Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman says that the number of troops at the Sinai Peninsula violates the Camp David Peace Accords of 1979, RIA Novosti reports.

Egypt has started moving armored vehicles to the Sinai Peninsula for the first time since the war in 1973. Israel requested the US administration to back the demand for withdrawal up.

Amos Gilad, head of the military-political department of the Israeli Defense Ministry said that he is always in contact with Egypt to resolve all disagreements.

The operation at Sinai started after a murder of 16 soldiers on the peninsula on August 5. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi dismissed many high-ranking military officials, including Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Hussein Tantawi.
