Armenia marks anniversary of independence declaration

Armenia is marking the 22nd anniversary of the declaration of independence, signed on August 23, 1990, Tert.am reports.

The declaration was read out by MP Aram Manukyan.

Levon Ter-Petrosyan became the Chairman of the Supreme Council on August 3-4, 1990, presenting 5 versions of the declaration of independence. One of them was chosen on August 23.
