Istanbul hosts World Chess Olympics

Istanbul is hosting the 40th World Chess Olympics today. It will continue until September 10. Chess players will arrive from 162 states, including Azerbaijan, Armenia, Hungary, Georgia, China, Russia, USA, France, Uzbekistan, Germany and Ukraine.

Male and female rounds are held in 11 rounds. Each team will have 4 players and one auxiliary player.

Ukraine won the previous games in khanty-Mansiysk.
