Azerbaijani wants spouses to undergo obligatory medical examinations

Azerbaijan has composed a list of diseases that need checking before weddings, deputy head of the committee for social policy of the Azerbaijani parliament Musa Guliyev said, Trend reports.

The list includes hemophilia, thalassemia, hepatitis, AIDS and other diseases. Should any diseases be found, it will be up to the couple to decide whether to have children or not.

Intending spouses in Azerbaijan may undergo medical examination voluntarily.
