Turkmenistan to present proposals on terrorism control and ecology at UN

Turkmen Ambassador to Azerbaijan Toyli Komekov said that Turkmenistan wants to enforce nuclear non-proliferation. He noted that Turkmenistan plans to stress on peace and security, sustainable development, energy security, ecology and climate change and humanitarian cooperation at the 67th session of the UN General Assembly, 1news.az reports.

Turkmenistan proposes consultations on the legal basis of nuclear non-proliferation in 2013. Komekov said that the deal on nuclear-free zone of Central Asia becomes topical.

Turkmenistan initiates formation of the Subregional Center for Disarmament in Asia.

The country is also planning to discuss terrorism control and prevention of drug smuggling at the session.
