Ingush authorities to tackle ideology of terrorism, extremism

Ingush authorities have formed an inter-department working group to fight terrorism and extremism, RIA Novosti reports.

The Ingush Security Council cooperates with 47 public, political, religious organizations and media.

Over 150 people underwent preventive measures.

The complex plan for information assistance to fight terrorism for 2009-2012 was approved.

31 people gave themselves up voluntarily, 16 of them were part of illegal armed formations.

Three militants were killed and two detained at the Sagopsha Village. One militant was killed at the Malgobeksky District of Ingushetia on Tuesday. The local militants were suspected of organizing the terrorist attack on August 19. 8 people died and 15 were wounded in the attack.
