Iran to build 150,000 hectares of irrigation system

industry issues Sadjadi said in his interview with IRIB News that the
project of equipping 150 000 hectares of agricultural lands with
irrigation systems will receive $30 million as loans and financing
from the fund against drought, Iran News reports.
Sadjadi said that farmers equipping their farms with irrigation will
receive a $2,000 and beneficial bank loans of $2,400.
He also reported that 10% of the country's agricultural lands have
irrigation systems, which is 8.5 million hectares. The 5th five-year
program (2010-2015) program of the country's development involves
equipping 1.5 million hectares with irrigation.
