Judge Elizabeth Gloster of the High Court of Justice (London) has declined Boris Berezovsky’s lawsuit against Roman Abramovich, freeing the latter from paying $5 billion, RBC reports.

Gloster noted that witnesses kept changing their testimony.

Berezovsky and Abramovich disputed over shares of Sibneft, the latter was forced to sell under pressure from Abramovich. Berezovsky said he had lost $5 billion. He insisted that he had been a business partner of Abramovich in the 1990s and had not been a shareholder of Sibneft.

Abramovich said he had not been a partner of Berezovsky and the money received had been a cut for shielding the enterprise. Court sessions on the issue ended in January, but the judge needed time to study all the materials.
