Georgian Dream to recognize Abkhaz and South Ossetian negotiators

Georgian Dream, an opposition coalition, would recognize Abkhaz and South Ossetian negotiators if it was to win the parliamentary polls of Georgia on October 1, as stated by Irakly Alasania, former representative to the UN and former presidential envoy to Abkhazia, Vzglyad reports.

The official believes that representation of the two breakaway regions by Russia was a fundamental mistake of President Mikheil Saakashvili. Restoration of trade-economic ties should be carried out through direct talks, he says.
