EU may fine Gazprom with €10 billion for monopolizing gas markets

Gazprom may be fined with over €10 billion for violating anti-monopoly legislature of the European Union, RIA Novosti reports.

The European Commission said on September 4 that it was investigating obstacles for free gas supplies, for diversification of gas supplies and unfair prices.

Gazprom may be fined 10% of its annual net profit, which is over €10 billion.
