Reservist officers to give lessons of patriotism in Azerbaijan

The public association of Azerbaijani reservist and resigned officers has started taking part in fulfilling the program for the promotion of patriotism, finances by the Council of State Supports for NGOs, News Azerbaijan reports.

Chairman of the association Yashar Jafarli believes that media are not enough to teach children patriotism, especially with the account of occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia.

The official noted that the project includesthe  publication of a book, organization of conferences and meetings with conscripts, production of accessories with patriotic symbols.

The council issued 9,000 manats for the idea, although 25,000 were expected. Plans for the next 9 months will remain unchanged.

The book “Moral of the Homeland” will be published within the framework of the project to teach patriotism. It will consist of articles by Nikolai Berdyayev, Khudu Mamedov, Sheikh Mohammed Khiyabani and Kemal Ataturk, as stated by Mekhman Kerimov, chairman of the “Civilization and Enlightenment” association.
