UNWTO chief approves simplification of visa regime in Silk Road states

Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organization, has approved the idea of Sayid Hasan Musavi, Iranian Vice President and Chairman of the Organization for Cultural Heritage and Culture, to simplify the visa regime in Silk Road states, 1news.az reports.
Rifai said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Minister for Culture and Tourism Abdulfas Garayev today that the idea would lift many limitations and reduce bureaucracy. Tourism cooperation has been an essential part of the latest G20 meeting, he reminds.
The UNWTO chief emphasized that simplification should start with Japan and China and end with Spain and Portugal.
