The safety of tourists who are fraudulently sent to Nagorno-Karabakh
is in no way ensured, Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas
Garayev told journalists on Friday.
"From this point of view, people who are fraudulently sent to
Nagorno-Karabakh are not registered and their safety is not ensured,"
Garayev said, Trend reports.
The culinary traditions of Karabakh are an integral part of Azerbaijani
cuisine, Garayev said.
"Unfortunately, as a result of the occupation policy of Armenia,
Karabakh cuisine can not be assessed in situ. But today, our
chefs carry out a lot of work on its progress," he said.
Foreign journalists who are currently in Azerbaijan will make the
journey in three directions, Garayev said. These are Lerik-Lankaran,
Nakhchivan and Naftalan.
"We specifically chose these directions. Tourists mainly visit the
areas located on the Silk Road. Naftalan is an important part of
Azerbaijan, Lankaran is a region that has a special place in our
cuisine. Nakhchivan is implementing large projects for the development
of tourism. Therefore it is important to show these regions in the
international arena," Garayev said.
