A Mi-35 combat helicopter with three people on board crashed in a mountain on Saturday in the North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, RIA Novosti cites a spokesperson of Russia’s Defense Ministry as saying.

The helicopter crashed into the mountain while it was flying over it in poor weather conditions. All three crew members died. The Defense Ministry suspended Mi-35 flights as a result of the incident.

“According to reports, the helicopter was not shot down; poor weather conditions were the cause of the crash,” a spokesperson said.
