Traffic on Azerbaijani-Russian highway halted

The highway connecting Baku, Guba and the Russian border has been stopped at the 177th km of the road on the bridge over River Guruchay, Trend cites a spokesman of Azeroilservice, Pyunkhan Mursaliyev.

3 plates of the first section of the 40-meter bridge crashed. Mursaliyev said that the bridge was over 40 years old.

The Azerbaijani Transport Ministry has started building an alternate road 450-500 meters away from the bridge.
