SOCAR may launch network of petroleum stations in Turkey

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) has studied the Turkish fuel market and plans to open own network of petroleum stations there, 1news.az reports.
Turkey may become a platform to enter other markets of Balkan states and then Mediterranean markets.
SOCAR was planning to purchase 599 petroleum stations of BP in Turkey, gaining 9.8% share in the retail market of Turkey. It will make SOCAR the fourth largest owner of petroleum stations in Turkey.
