Muslims protest against US film

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the “Innocence of Muslims” film that provoked murder of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens in Libya. A US embassy was attacked in Cairo, Libya and Tunisia. Protests continue in Yemen and Iran.
Iranian ex-President Mohammad Khatami sent a letter to Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu. The letter urges all states to prevent ethnic and religious clashes, Trend reports.
Iranian Speaker Ali Larijani condemned the film.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned murderers of the US ambassador in Libya and noted the need to respect other religions, RIA Novosti reports.
Terry Jones (Florida),a priest infamous for burning the Quran, was involved in the film. The film was made by a Jew Sam Bacile.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that the US government had nothing to do with the film and criticized it.
Spokesman of the Israeli Foreign Minister Igal Palmor said that Israel was not involved in the film.
80 actors of the film say that they were tricked during the making. They expressed condolences over its release. Backstage reported in July 2011 that casting was organized for the “Desert Warrior” film. It was planned as an adventure film in the Arabian Desert.
