Three embassies attacked in Sudanese capital by demonstrators

Hundreds of protesters today attacked three embassies in the Sudanese
capital, Khartoum. "Al Jazeera" reported that the protesters are
storming the embassies of the US, UK and Germany, ITAR-TASS reports.

The police used tear gas to disperse the angry crowd. Demonstrators
threw stones, trying to break inside.

Several Arab countries were today swept by protests after a film
defaming the Prophet Muhammad that was shot in the US appeared today on the
internet. Riots are continuing in Cairo and Yemen, a demonstration is being
held by the walls of the US embassy in Doha.

Hundreds of protesters today broke into the German embassy in Khartoum.


The situation is similar at the diplomatic mission of the United
Kingdom. It has already been reported that riots are taking place near
the US diplomatic mission in the Sudanese capital.
