Largest Iranian power plant to operate at full power
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaIranian Deputy Minister for Energy Mohammed Behzad said that the largest power plant in the country at Damavand will be start operating at full output, Iran News reports.
The power plant will produce 2848 MW. It will comprise 12 gas blocks producing 159 MW each and 6 steam blocks producing 160 MW each. The power plant will produce 6% of all Iranian electricity and 34% of electricity consumed by Tehran.
The tenth government will increase electricity output by over 12,000 MW.
Damavand Director Farid Bashir said that the last steam block will be launched in September.
