Russian President arrives at Caucasus-2012 trainings

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived at the Rajewski polygon in
Krasnodar Territory, where Caucasus-2012 trainings are taking
place, RIA Novosti reports.

The polygon of the 7th Airborne Division "Rajewski" is located 22
kilometers from the city of Novorossiysk.


The head of state will observe the trainings and inspect the polygon.
In total, about 8,000 people will take place in the trainings and more
than 200 combat vehicles, 100 artillery pieces, about 10 combat ships
and boats will feature during the event.

Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, the presidential envoy to the
Southern Federal District Vladimir Ustinov, the governor of Krasnodar
Territory Alexander Tkachev and the Commander of the Southern Military
District Alexander Galkin will visit the trainings together with
Vladimir Putin.
