Russia may block YouTube for “Innocence of Muslims”

Russia may block YouTube due to the “Innocence of Muslims” film with the coming of the law on blacklist of websites on November 1, Interfax reports.
Russian Minister for Communications Nikolai Nikiforov said that the website may be blocked on November 3-5.
The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office wants to recognize the US film as extremist. The Russian Council of Muftis and the Coordination Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus. Imam of the Moscow Region Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chief of the Russian Council of Muftis, said that Muslims approve the idea, RIA Novosti reports.
Abbyasov says that Muslims should not pay attention to urges for aggression.
Mufti Shafig Pshikhachev, Chairman of the Coordination Center of Muslims in the North Caucasus, approved the decision.
The film depicting Prophet Muhammad provoked protests in Egypt, Yemen, Sudan, Tunisia, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Four US diplomats, including a US ambassador, died during an attack on US consulate in Benghazi (Libya).
