US and Turkey discuss Syria

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with US President Barack Obama and discussed Syria on Tuesday, TRT reports.

Both leaders agreed that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad should resign. They expressed concerns over aggravating humanitarian situation in the region and escalation of violence.

Erdogan and Obama will have regular conversations to support democratic processes in Syria.
