Armenian police lack finances for production at prisons

Armenian prisons cannot show competitive production due to a lack of financing, News.am reports.

The government of Armenia passed a state program for the prevention of crime in March 2008. According to the document, the Armenian police were to use convicts for production at prisons, but the idea failed.

Another point of the document, the construction of housing for temporarily detained foreigners, was scrapped as well.
