Russian Ministry confirms emergency landing of helicopter near Georgian border

A Russian helicopter had to make an emergency landing near Georgian border due to the problems with its

navigation equipment, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has confirmed.

A Russian helicopter with humanitarian

aid for South Ossetia landed on the border with Georgia, RIA Novosti

reports, referring to the Ministry.

"A Ministry of Emergency Situations helicopter bringing humanitarian aid to

Tskhinvali landed near the Georgian border due to an accident," an agency source said.
